Brownsville, TN - RTP Trail Project

Sealed Bids for the construction of the BROWNSVILLE, TN – RTP TRAIL PROJECT will be received at the offices of the Honorable Bill Rawls, Mayor of the City of Brownsville, at the Brownsville City Hall – Court Room, 111 N. Washington Ave., Brownsville, TN 38012 until 11:00 A.M. local time on November 15, 2018 at which time the Bids received will be publically opened and read aloud.
The Project consists of the following:

1. Grading and clearing to construct a 1,344 LF, 10’ wide ADA compliant asphalt walking trail with a 1’ gravel shoulder on either side.
2. Asphalt parking with tapered curbs which includes 10 striped parking spaces, one space will be van accessible.
3. Site amenities for trail (trailhead pavilion, fitness equipment, playground edging and mulch, bike rack, litter receptacle, water fountain and associated concrete pads, footings and utility connections)
4. Contractor shall plan to coordinate with Owner for Owner provided items.

This project is funded in part by a grant from the Recreational Trails Program, Federal Highway Administration and administered by the Recreational Educational Services Division, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Buy America Requirements and Buy America Certifications are required for this project. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 A.M. local time on November 1, 2018 at the Brownsville City Hall – Court Room, 111 N. Washington Ave., Brownsville, TN 38012. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
